Q. How do I apply for a grant?

A. First, review the grant application procedure.  If you feel that your organization aligns with the foundation's goals, please send an e-mail to funding@wannfoundation.org.

Q. Do you accept proposals for projects outside of the United States?

A. No, but The Wann Family Foundation works directly with organizations that do.

Q. How can I apply for a scholarship supported by The Wann Family Foundation?

A. The foundation funds several scholarships, each with a different area of focus.  The foundation does not choose the recipients of those scholarships.  Application procedures are pursuant to the educational institutions where the scholarships are based.  

Q. Where has the foundation endowed scholarships?

A. Currently, the foundation has endowed four scholarships at Queens College and the University at Albany.

Q. I am an individual seeking financial assistance. Am I eligible for a grant?

A. In keeping with our charter, we do not provide funding to individuals. 

Q. I am raising money for a cause. Am I eligible for a grant?

A. The foundation makes grants to organizations directly rather than through individual fundraising activities; therefore, we are unable to fund your cause.

Q. What are the deadlines for submitting grant proposals to the foundation?

A. We do not have deadlines for application submissions. 

Q. Do the Trustees/Officers receive a salary for their services to the foundation?

A. No, the Trustees/Officers of the foundation do not accept salary for their services.
